Liquid Oxygen Pump

Liquid Oxygen Pump is designed for assembly in Air Separation Unit and is the final stage of Air Separation Unit.

Primary Function:

The single action piston pump, pumps liquid Oxygen & gasifies the same in heat exchanger for final filling as gas in cylinders at a pressure of 165 kg/cm2. Liquid Oxygen Pump when is operated, the liquid oxygen from the main condenser enters the outer jacket of the pump. Some of this liquid evaporates due to heat produced in pumping and the vapour is passed to the upper column as gas. The major part of liquid oxygen is taken into the pump cylinder and compressed out by the piston stroke. This high

pressure liquid oxygen passes through two non-return valves into the heat exchangers and then to the cylinder filling rack.

Spares Requirement

Liquid Oxygen Pump, pumps high pressure liquid Oxygen to the filling manifold. This pump is to be maintained properly for its efficient functioning. Some of the spares imported are listed below:-

  • S.S.Liner (Size- 20mm to 44mm)
  • S.S.Piston (Size- 20mm to 44 mm)
  • Piston Rings
  • Cross head
  • Gland Packing
  • Safety valves
  • Crank shaft
  • Oil Wiper Rings
  • Non-Return Valves of sizes 1/2″, 5/8″ & 3/4″
  • Connecting rod with bearings
  • Brass Gland Nut & Cylinder Head Nut

Special feature of our product line:

  • All SS and Brass products are made from SS 304 and extruded brass material. The constitution of the material is utmost important for work ability at -1750C of liquid oxygen. The size of liner made by u varies – 20mm to 44mm.
  • Glass Field Teflon (GFT ) and Carbon Filed Teflon (CFT) is moulded from imported Original DUPONT. Timely heat treatment and proper cutting prevents shimmer or deformation of the material if fitted properly in the Liner. We supply from 20mm to 44 mm size suitable from 63 cu.mr/hr to 600 cu.mr/hr Oxygen Plant.
  • Non-Return Valve is also heat treated using cryogenic heat treatment. The seat of the Non-Return Valve is treated with special heat treatment called Cryogenic Hardening in which the Seat is hardened at the ambient working temperatures of inlet and outlet.
